![]() Serenity Nail Spa is quickly becoming my favorite place to get a manicure in Nashville. Continuing to search for my new Nashville pedicure spot! Paid the $ 35 and left… and promptly went home to paint my own toes. She was finally started just as we were leaving. ![]() This entire time the woman next to me had been waiting, soaking, having to adjust her own water because she couldn’t find anyone either. There were at least 3 attempts to polish, which I was then told my nails were the issue… never had an issue with this before! Finally I just had her leave them, painted cuticles and all, as I was planning on removing the polish at home and painting them myself. She forgot the toe separators so they kept smashing against each other also. Not to mention the polish all over my cuticles, which she had to keep digging at to clean with her own fingernail. I noticed more than a few nails with bumps and air bubbles, which I pointed out. Citrus scrub was nice, along with the massage. Would’ve been nice to have been told they were busy and we could have come back at an appointed time. We were two of the four customers in the large room in the back, with two others in a private room. After an adjustment to freezing water, we were left for another 20 minutes to wait. After sitting with our feet out for about 15 minutes, I wandered up to find someone to adjust it. We were brought back promptly and sat, but unable to soak our feet because the water was steaming, scalding hot. Walked in with a girlfriend on a Sunday at noon, right when they opened. This was my first experience here in Nashville. I’ve been to many nail spas in the various states I’ve lived. Looks like I’ll be making the few extra mile trip to go back to the salon I frequented before Serenity. I was really expecting much more since it was my first time there and typically they try to impress you to come back. Hope if you try or if you are a regular that you get a much better nail experience. I appreciate the gift card from a friend but this was my first and last time at this salon. That was an extra $ 10 charge that wasn’t told to me at the time. The tech also told me that they don’t like to buff them out with the shining polish because the shine doesn’t last long but that they use a clear gel overcoat that’s baked on. However here it was shaped freehand with the brush which means a lot of them don’t have the natural curve, they are straight across, and they are not all uniform! The pink looks fine but they also weren’t smoothed down as much as they should’ve been with the drill file so some of the tips are humped and bulky. Typically the white tip is shaped with a little tool or the end of a nail tip to give you a natural curve between it and the pink acrylic. The process here is different from anywhere else I’ve ever been. I decided to do pink and white acrylic because my nails are breaking at a record breaking rate and I’m sick of it. My 3 stars are basically only for the fast seating/service and the nail tech that was very friendly and a pretty good conversationalist. I got there about an hour before closing although I did call to make sure it was possible to see me. ![]() From the outside it looks a little more upscale than most but once inside it’s pretty much what you see inside every other nail salon. I received a gift card to this salon for my birthday and it’s close to work so it was really my only reason for trying it out. I have another nail salon that I frequent with results that leave me happy. You will spend nearly $ 90 and still leave with dry cuticles and calluses. They are dishonest with bait and switch on what you are led to believe you are getting and what you actually get. I’ve been going here for years and years and I would NEVER go to this place again. It was so shady I just said «I’m done» and left. When I asked for the owner, he spoke to a young man on his iPad who looked to be about 25 in a language I did not speak and had him speak to me. When I brought up my issues with my technician, he did not offer a refund and explained there is no deluxe manicure option. I left the salon with large calluses still on the sides of my big toes. The deluxe treatment ($ 49) listed callus treatment as well as a salt treatment. I even had to ask for cuticle oil afterwards. You only get the basic nail file, lotion and hot towel. First of all, the way they list the service is misleading as there is no deluxe manicure. I paid $ 86 with tip for what was offered as a «Deluxe Pedi & Mani» (with gel on my nails).
